Community Service

Branch 599's members have big hearts and are involved in our community as fund raisers and as Carriers Alert, watching out for the welfare of our patrons.

Our members have saved lives while delivering the mail; have diverted abductions; seen patrons with dementia safely home; educated children on safety around mail vehicles; and called emergency responders when needed. We are the most trusted of government employees and stop or pass by every house, six days a week; we care about people and community.

MDA 2022
Branch 599’s MDA Golf Tournament Coordinator Alan Robinson and President Tony Diaz hold up a check in the amount of $12,553.01 for our 2022 donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive 2020 & 2021
Due to COVID-19, our food drive will be a DONOR Drive; you can go to nalc.org/food to donate in your local community. NALC's coordinated effort in establishing a nationwide food drive began in 1991.

MDA 2021
Branch 599 President Tony Diaz and Golf Tournament Coordinator Alan Robinson proudly hold the big check for $13,471.87 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Branch 599’s donation was a result of our MDA Golf Tournament and the 50/50 raffles at our monthly Branch meetings. The amount raised from the golf tournament was a record, significantly higher than the previous record in 2019. This donation will go a long way, as donations to MDA were down significantly for the 2021 year, still due to the COVID affect. Thanks to all who contributed to this success!

MDA 2020
Branch 599 President Tony Diaz and Golf Tournament Coordinator Alan Robinson presented Muscular Dystrophy Association Coordinator Erin Authier with a check in the amount of $9,066.52 for our 2020 year-end donation. Branch 599’s donation was a result of our MDA Golf Tournament and the 50/50 raffles at our monthly union meetings. This donation will go a long way, as donations were down 70% for the 2020 year due to COVID-19. Thanks to all who contributed to this success! Erin was thrilled and appreciative of the efforts of Branch 599.
